I remember reading this 2-3 years ago? And it's amazing how the same story sounds so different as you grow older. I didn't like it as much during the first time around. Sei was selfish in my eyes, and this tackled very sensitive topics while constantly reminding me that a true 'happy ending' was not possible for them in this era. I was uncomfortable seeing all the flaws of the world and the characters. But now, I think a quiet resignation follows as I see them still together at the end. I know how hard it is to find someone you like, who at the same time likes you too. I now know how many factors affect love than just emotions. So seeing them come against all odds, still clinging onto each other, was relieving.
