Honestly wako had every right to doubt takeo feelings for him. Wako feelings for takeo has always been one sided throughout their friendship bc he knew takeo never saw him in anyway besides being friends. Then takeo comes out saying he likes men. In wako position I understood why he was suspicious with that kind of confession bc takeo has never dated men or ever mentioned he liked men throughout their friendship so it’s understandable why wako went to such lengths to find out why all of sudden takeo started taking interest in men to which wako was righ about but was so wrong about the person he thought it was. Then we see wako confessing his feelings to takeo (a man who had never seen wako as a romantic interest) but after confessing to him all of sudden takeo has feelings for wako? So yes wako had every right to really doubt takeo feelings for him bc if wako didn’t confess I’m very positive nothing wouldn’t have changed and takeo would’ve thought of him as just good friends. It’s one of the reasons why their relationship feels so shallow plus when takeo was in love with the other man in the other story he was very loud about it and made known that he had feelings for that other man but with wako it’s more like “oh he likes me I guess let me give it a try then” it just make it seem so insincere and dry which explains the lack of chemistry between the two. Takeo definitely cares for wako but it was always platonic on his part. This story would’ve been an absolute gem if the author actually took time to plot out the storyline instead of rushing it and actually took time the develop the two characters chemistry along the way. Needless to say I am a bit disappointed how this story was portrayed I had high expectations mostly with the way the other story went with the other couple but that went down the drain. This story could’ve had so much potential if only it wasn’t lacking in so many ways.
