The emperess

Emperess Lavini was one of the best written villainess for me. The way she was portrayed was the best. I do hate her but the character was flawless and the artist did justice to the villainess. I know there are more cruel villainess and villains out there but the way Lavini was portrayed with her mind games was a chef's kiss for me.

I know this take might not be supported by all but it's what I think.

I love and hate my girl down. Her biggest downfall imo was her lack of competent allies. Florentia had a whole slew of allies and past life experiences to depend on which is what ultimately lead to her win. Had Florentia and team had to go up against an empress with even just 1 or 2 competent allies, I fear things would have ended in a draw at best or the empress conquest at worst. Her idiotic son (her biggest failure might I add) and family members also didn’t help her case either. Everyone and everything around her was wholly dependent on her. While the Lombardi family only has that 1 idiot son and generally worked as a team to defeat 1 clever empress and a soon to be deposed of emperor. No great person had ever of will ever conquer the world alone, it has always been and will always be, a team effort. Oh but I love her and hate her so much.

So true. This is why I like her as a villainess. Even without competent allies she held her own till the very end. Imagining competent allies for her would be disaster for Perez and Lombardi family.
