it would be actually even more unrealistic to make ML have character development and become healthier and better bc these types of ppl never really even consider changing, but that would be the only way to make a happy ending make more sense, but knowing the author they probably won't and will force the happy ending even with obvious toxic ML that has actions that might kill the bottom soul.
reading it all at first the ML seemed okay but then especially after they got together I see now that he acts just like my abuser (ex) he was also that insane yes same lvl if not even worse, at first they pretend to just have a little silly jealousy personality but then it slowly turns into isolating you from your entire world slowly, from your friends and even family, then slowly they start trying to convince you to cut them all off completely and only look and depend on them, my ex was abusive not just possessive and controlling so I had it worse but.. I still think they should show a more realistic state for the MC, he should be more broken than that but ofc they're gonna make it somehow just a normal jealous shit that hurts justtt a little bit and will make them happy ever after , I broke up with him after he literally out of nowhere turned the conversation about me choosing between him and my LIFELONG friends, he asked me to cut them off if I really did love him, and I at some point did love him but with time I moved on from my love while still with him but I was just sickly attached so it was hard to tell the difference, but even with my horrible strong anxious feelings at the last conversation, I finally chose myself and chose my friends and got out and oh man never felt more alive, so seeing the bottom just acting fine about it is really not realistic at all, it's always different IRL.
