This is a bittersweet ending.. so it really ends like that, the cycle of reincarnation will never end then. I feel bad or sad for them because I feel that in every reincarnation cycle, there lives is short together - both of them will be happy together in each reincarnation even though it was short but only one (ML) will always remember.
