From a novel reader, why it was discontinued

OK, so I really loved the story so I went and read the novel. I re read the manhwa afterward, and I now understand why it was discontinued. I read that the author was unhappy with how the story was portrayed in the adaptation, but didn’t really understand that it was this bad before I read the novel. Yes, they dumbed it down a lot. You can see it just in the first two chapters. A LOT happened in the novel and was not in the adaptation, and it usually could’ve passed, but in all honesty, it really made the characters lose a lot of the depth that they had in the novel. All is happening really fast in the adaptation and they changed things. Once again, it’s not necessarily a bad thing because you need to adapt a novel to the new media that is manhwa for it to work. But in this case, it was indeed badly done. It’s a shame. But on this one, I’m with the author.
