are we supposed to believe layla actually did romantically love kyle? is it better explained in the novel cause as far as i can tell she was just marrying him bc he was there and she knew she SHOULD get married but his letters appearing the night after she sleeps with Matthias makes me think she's in despair bc this is the love she could have had instead of the one she's in now. i would love novel readers to explain it!
