I could tell the writing was gonna be bad as soon as the author decided that Leonie falls in love with Rutger at first sight. I've rarely seen that trope used in a way that wasn't just lazy writing.
The author just couldn't write well enough to make Leonie falling in love with him make sense, so it had to be at first sight.

Also that scene where Rutger's hugging her grandma as a child and they act like he's a grown man in child's body taking advantage? Disgusting writing decision, and the author did it twice. He WAS a child.

Lastly there were many occasions where the punishment did not fit the crime imo. Which I wouldn't have commented on if the revenge against the father hadn't ended up being so lackluster in comparison.

Bonus complaint: Her powers were also way too OP, not in the sense that she was too strong, but that they didn't have rules and changed whichwever way was convenient the plot. The time travel orb was also a cheap cop-out
