Righttt? All of the espers were taught that they are not humans but disposables. That's why feelings and emotions must be so confusing when they were about to die, They probably felt so scared but they didn't know what those feeling means. My heart still ache everytime I see that Esper that Died in the video leaked. He doesn't want to die, But he definitely doesn't know what those emotions is so he just cried.
Eve is evil as a result of the way he was treated by others at the lab. He's a victim of abuse who doesn't understand that the way he sees espers is precisely the result of years of manipulation. With enough compassion he could change into an esper who understands that they themselves too are human
