I NEED answers this season. Author, please don't disappoint me. ╥﹏╥
General Tak, what's going on with you?? I'm worried about you. Is Kang actually in love with Sam or not? What was the secret Geon told Sam as a child? What's Ram's history with Kang? And Tak, WHY did you make that deal with Ram?? How did Sam's wife really die? How did the Second Prince die? And how did the Emperor die? Was it really Geon who killed him?
Anyway... I think Geon has finally snapped. This breakdown feels different, the look in his eyes said everything. And to make things worse, he's already physically exhausted, barely sleeping, and his separation anxiety is getting worse by the minute. He's literally trembling, he's practically hysterical... Atp the only way I can imagine easing his pain is by putting him to sleep. Maybe with the same drug Sam used before ? when he needed to leave without Geon knowing. And what if they give him something that keeps him asleep for a long time? That would give Kang enough time to stage his coup, reclaim the throne, return Sam's daughter to him, and let them escape together.
And what if there's something like that hidden in Kang's little Trojan horse of a gift basket?? Cos seriously what kind of imperial palace doesn't even search visitors or inspect their gifts properly? There's definitely something suspicious about that basket. I'm not letting this go.
I never thought I'd be relieved to see Kang alive, but if Geon can't come back to reality after this breakdown, or if he's become so consumed by Sam that he can no longer rule properly, then maybe a change of power really is what's best for the empire. Kang was raised and prepared to rule his entire life. The people have already suffered enough. They can't keep paying the price for the emperor's personal obsession.
