Complicated feelings, TL;DR pretty good representation but could be better

Let me say right away, this is really good. I can tell that the author put a lot of effort into research, and making sure they represented things to the best of their ability. I have multiple disabilities, I’m completely blind in one eye, and my other eye isn’t too great either. I have ADHD, OCD, and CPTSD. And I also use hearing aids for my Auditory Processing Disorder due to being almost completely deaf in one ear. So basically I was really excited about this manga. And I did see myself in the seme (I’m bad with names, sorry) a lot in early volumes. The isolation I felt because it was so hard to talk to people was incredibly impactful. I often chose to just not talk to people at all like the seme
I know that falling in love is not the cure to complex layers of trauma built up over years, but it’s fun to read stories like this one and fantasize about it. I have no problem with the uke helping heal a lot of the seme’s insecurities. That’s cute and nice. I think though I am really frustrated with the seme’s lack of agency. We know almost nothing about him as a person. Does he have hobbies? He played football for a while but that was mostly just to get him around other people with hearing impairments. What about how he gets along with his family? We saw a bit with the mom, and we heard about the dad briefly, but there’s a lot there we have no idea about. We barely even see the main couple together. I myself have lots of complicated relationships, hobbies, passions, etc which don’t revolve around my disabilities. The one guy (names are hard I’m so sorry) felt like the most “real” person to me because he likes soccer and video game development without any tie to his deafness. I just wish we had more story lines that don’t revolve around the disabilities of the characters.
Also also, the seme’s boss makes me really mad. If a non disabled person told me how to see my own disabilities, I’d be really pissed off. They don’t know me, and they don’t know all the complicated things swirling in my brain all the time.
Sorry for the long rant. It is a good manga, absolutely and I’m excited for the next volume, I just wanted to share my thoughts
