Some of yall in the comments hating Tristan are really baffling I can understand it coming from the MC because even if rationally he knows ML didn’t cause the name disease emotionally he can’t help but associate his pain with him. Dude literally had no obligation to help MC whatsoever other than a moral compass yall expecting him to treat Eden tenderly with affection like a lover when their relationship starts off more as a business with Tristan essentially getting the losing deal because 1.) he’s not(initially) into dudes 2.) he’s financially well off and isn’t lacking in anything 3.) his private life was invaded out of nowhere by a random guy who needs his touch to stay alive. It’s very clear MC himself is struggling internally with his shame about his reliance on another man who’s going along with him out of obligation they don’t start off as equals and considering their personality there’s no way they can be open and honest with each other so easily. Some of yall are reading from the MCs perspective and getting agitated unreasonably with the ML. With the sex there’s really nothing you can do Eden was frail from his sickness and it’s an either do or die thing not to mention Tristan’s size ain’t that friendly either so it’s bound to be painful I can only understand criticism about ML being too rough the first few times but considering their personality there’s comments and reviews I was expecting scumbag level behavior and it’s just a dude with an anaconda and emotionally repressed.
