I don’t think it happen fast. If you think about it they been working with chase for about 6 months now. It’s been past time for Josh to tell him Pete was his kid since Pete is what 6 years old or something. On top of that Josh and chase been sleeping together those past 6 months and had two near death experience twice. So he finally told him before he couldn’t anymore. Tho I think he should have been told him sooner back in like chapter 30. But here we are 54 chapters later.
yep it's way too sudden, the plot was a slowburn but suddenly the confession happened out of nowhere imo
