I won’t say much because I don’t know how to censor here and I don’t want to step on any toes. She has low self esteem because of her mother and he’s lying to her but it’s not to hurt her or spite her, it has to do with political upheaval.
Im currently reading the novel and it’s actually quite sad. I feel for her and while I’m not done with it yet, I hope she can walk away from him.
