they draw what they find hot and what the majority of readers find hot. it’s the same case with shoujo/josei, shounen/seinen. not just yaoi
I mean sure we need body representation I agree with you on that but wdym 'they don't lose weight and they're just ugly', I think people don't recognise that "ugliness" also needs representation just as much as body types cause even if their fat yall would want them to be good looking and that just defeats the purpose of wanting something out of standard
And lowk even when it's an "ugly" uke or seme they're still conventionally attractive or they have features that shouldn't even be considered ugly like freckles or a distinct nose and a bad haircut, like why would u fall that ugly it pisses me off

I’m actually trying to make a list of BL with so-called “nonconventional” body weight! With the caveat being that they don’t lose it all for the sake of the story.

I wonder why some authors/artists can't do a regular body built or chubby seme or uke I've read probably one or so where they are chubby and then they lose weight or they don't lose weight and they're just ugly like what? Why do they both gotta be like so fit?
