I think we all need to be more open minded about the situation rather than paint it as a white/black scenario because let's be real it would be idiotic for them to come back since that place has nothing but enemies/trauma for them there BUT!
This trip is not an escape but a *temporary* freedom for them both. Firstly Baekhee is the one tied down to that place, he thinks he needs Gyeom and I wont even go into all that brainwashing/manipulation part but realistically Baekhee does not have enough money to afford a GOOD(aka really safe place) in Seoul. It's expensive and he thinks he needs to sacrifice all happiness/dignity in order to survive. This trip for him is a goodbye to Il-woo as well....though I think him finding Il-woo was him just hitting his breaking point in missing him even so he's still going to prioritize his "safe" decision. This isnt a Gyeom vs Il-woo situation this is deadass just Baekhee being so traumatized that he cannot envision an unsafe & fragile path
I will stop ranting but anyway it's not going to be slop IF that happens it's just a matter being realistic. In the end neither of them are alpha CEO millionaires like in some of them bl stories. Baekhee needs his diploma as well....they are both powerless teenagers sadly I cant expect them to know what to do and how to deal with abusers when all they have is the other and would anyone want to risk the safety of the person theyre in love with? Even knowing they will embrace them ?

sorry if I seemed angry/argumentative, I dont wanna seem like a person who shits on someone just because they think differently. Honestly I typed that comment to also ready myself for disappointment for whats going to happen. Though any readers and my own emotions are valid nonetheless
if they come back to that town then this story has officially become a slop like all the others and it'll be hard to feel bad for them
