Gyeol clearly isn’t the brightest crayon in the book himself.. a lot of brawn, not as much brain. Unfortunately, Yeesung found safe haven in him because he probably felt like Gyeol could protect him. Their relationship is NOT healthy, but that’s what makes the story interesting to me. Both are definitely in NO position to try to be with one another yet they’re doing it anyway and this is the mess that ensues.
oh no definitely, it's just as it progresses gyeol moves from being this idk white knight to idk a white knight that's also just awful.
on top of that, each chapter i hate gyeol more. i know i'm biased because yesung is my baby fr fr but like,,, the signs are ALL THERE that yesung is being sexually abused and groomed. yet gyeol keeps insisting that yesung is doing this and acting this way entirely of his own volition. people questioning the "not entirely wrong" line clearly don't understand how codependent you can become on an abuser even to your own detriment.
