I feel like I need to talk about Jiwhan's personality because people forgot he's a fucked up person since the beginning. I'm not here to glaze a toxic character by the way but I'm just sayin'. The way he manipulated the mc into isolating him TWICE as well. Y'all complain on how Jiwhan treats the mc like shit but that's HOW he IS, he's a psychopath ever since he was a kid of course he would treat him like that. + He's been rejecting taking his medicine which fucks up his mind more. This is only my gut feeling but after the mc left him to "kill himself" or whatever, that was the start of his breaking point. His world literally revolves around the mc. He NEEDS the mc. He thinks he can treat him well and won't be like his father but yet he contradicts his own words and do the same. Like a cycle. His personality is quite realistic if you compare it to a psychopath. He won't change even if you tell him to, he won't listen to any words you say, he can't tell what's right and what's wrong because in his mind his only goal is to have the mc all to himself. He formed this toxic obsession towards the mc because he sees him as someone who is incapable of reaching their goals. That's why he approached him in the start. Then, he slowly learns more about the mc (financial issues, his mom being in the hospital, ect) and has a "If i provide him that, he'll depend on me more" type of mindset. He hates the fact of anyone helping the MC out other than him, that's why he slowly got rid of the people close to the MC because he fears he will leave him and won't depend on him anymore. Jiwhan knows mc can be easily manipulated when it comes to showing him help and affection, and he really took advantage of it really well. He literally proven his theory when the mc started to reach out to him more and caught feelings for him. Jiwhan is very calculative as well. He made sure his plans won't be exposed to the MC (That's unfortunate though because the mc knew), AND knows how to read people. With that, he can take advantage over their weaknesses. He doesn't know how to showcase love properly. From what he observed from his childhood, he thinks isolating the people you love will make them love him more. That's how he sees his parents' relationship. I don't think a therapist can even help him out.
Honestly? I hope Jiwhan doesn't do a full factory reset and turn into a "green flag gentle little puppy" to the MC because I feel like that will erase his character ENTIRELY. Argue with me with this if you want. His personality fits him well. His illness (I forgot what it is) has a big impact on him as well. If this suddenly disappears, Jiwhan won't be... Well, Jiwhan. Unless if he takes his medication again. Though, that doesn't mean his personality will change. I feel like he would still be abusive towards MC. (Don't like that possibility? I don't care) I just hope the MC either kills himself or escape from the ml because there's no saving him from that Psycho.
