In season 2, before the switching shenanigans between somin + sol and somyung’s life is revealed, there are a lot pf hints that I missed the first time and ughahhh it’s just done so well!! Somin’s parts revolve around sol pretty much and obviously there’s no murderous mother so somyung’s pov helps the reader not feel like the plot’s been lost too much
ANYWAY when the switches happen the panels start with the like bars… how do i describe them
After getting to ch50 the main hints story wise are how somin feels bored and that’s why she was upset with life (this is also why she became so obsessed with perfecting and fixing sol, gyu-on and somyung) while at the end of s1 somyung is suffocated because of her mother and believes she is all alone (basically ch40) Somyung talks about her future wondering if she’ll still be in her hell while somin wondered if she’d become a ‘boring adult’
Also, the switches are so well hidden!! Sol’s umbrella in the box looks like somyung put it there and her mother found it so it was going to become another namsoo situation but really it was her in a sick way sort of reminiscing. somyung’s brick phone matches up with somin never using one
There’s also some time hints like payphones (this is quite subtle though) and maybe something to do with the olympics mention
