He probably went out to sell himself, since the alpha aint doing doo-doo for him he has to cover all living expenses for his friend(the pasty gray omega) and rent, food, it's stablish Ed that he can't land better jobs or at least something that pay well to provide for the friend's treatment
It's been a while since I read this...maybe just tired. But why was the MC all bruised at the end, and where was he? Also why did he walk into that room and get into a fight or smthing/continue to get bashed? Was that a 'job' of his with someone who happened to be abusive?
