does anyone know how to adapt a novel to manhwa? i totally want the novel my friend and i wrote to be finished and then adapted into a manhwa. i actually had the intention of uploading it here for free, but i realized that i had already spent $150 on hiring artists to make the cover . so my intention is to upload the manhwa to the lezhin platform or something like that (but idk how)

You would need some kind of proof of sales on the platform you release your novel and then be able to negotiate a contract with an artist. First step is getting people to read your novel before you can even think about getting it adapted by a third party

for the audience, yes. but, for artists, not yet. my friend and i have just uploaded a few chapters, and some people like them. so, were thinking of adapting it into a manhwa.

oh no, that looks complicated and requires a lot of processes, does the novel have to be in physical form? honestly, if it has to be in physical form, it might be a bit difficult, cz what were making is a BL novel. but nvm, I'll try. thank you for letting me know

There’s no real need for you to sell physical copies since there are online publishing platforms (especially since physical copies require contracts and front heavy costs, though you can see if a publisher is interested). I’m pretty sure you can self publish on Amazon, even. The big thing is being able to pay the wages of the artist you’d like to hire for the adaptation, and without third party backing or crowdfunding it would be difficult. Keep writing your books and making sales and you’ll get there one day
