How I interpreted it was that in ch63 it was Amdong visiting Jaopii’s temple to tell him tales of his adventure and then in ch64 it’s Jaopii responding/recalling to Amdong (but ofc Amdong couldn’t hear him bc he’s dead) hence Jaopii saying “Nothing seems to reach you. Someday when we meet again..” but then Amdong responds to Jaopii which insinuates that Amdong has passed and reunited with Jaopii in the afterlife! even if I’m wrong it’s a happy ending in my head
Same idc if it's ahead canon but in my head they're living happy ever after in their afterlife and they've also reincarnated in the modern world and met and fell in love
