tysm, i was genuinely losing my mind but ur cmt calmed me down abit. I rlly think there's better ways to this than making the relationship turn sour, it's hardly ever the right decision to keep one side in the dark (potentially hurting them too), but I understand why Alex acted the way he did (I also understand how Nathan is ragebaiting ppl rn but u seriously cannot blame him, I'd be acting the same tbh
Yw! I have read the novel reviews and they say Alex could've been brave enough, but honestly, if you think about his environment since he was a child, it's a trauma response. Nathan's reaction was valid that time, I would act the same if the person I love said he set up bunch of guys to grape me or that if I noticed he was lying to my face instead of saying the truth. You can't blame either of them, the environment is at fault
definitely, tho their dynamics after the fallout and distance is still hard to stomach, ig that's a good thing to portray just how it feels like for a seemingly beyond salvation relationship to get back on track and function again (and also to illustrate once again communication is about 90% of relationships)

I hope no one blames Alex for the misunderstanding they had 9 years ago, cause it's very obvious that Alex is a victim himself. He was forced to break contacts with Nathan because he's trying to protect him from getting blackmailed and the environment actually breaks his mentality, he lacks parents love. I was so sad for Alex cause for 9 years he had suffered from guilt even though the real mastermind is David and Nathan doesn't even want to communicate, I don't blame him, but for once, he should listen
