everyone is talking about it being dragged out, but i don't think it's that at all. hee-seo's mom's death is clearly rooted deep and so it'll only be addressed and come to light when the thing about the mother and the chairperson is finally revealed. it only looks like it's being dragged out because it's not in hee-seo's pov—in s1, he is only an immature kid with no backbone at all (srsly since he's just a kid) and s2 finally showed a glimpse of his career, but only a GLIMPSE. i think s3 will showhow he'll finally act (otherwise i'll be disappointed) because all this time we only got to see taek-yung's pov and how he worked in the case/s as a prosecutor.
cecilia clearly said something about keeping distance because __ well it was not said but important enough for hee-seo to oblige. i personally think hee-seo was ready to take on the case for himself to avenge his mother but probably realized there's more to it than one person dying which is his mom.
nevertheless, i don't know how everything will play out since the author said before that this manhwa will only have 3 seasons. i hope it won't be rushed.
