it's not a terrible manhwa but many things in this manhwa just rubs me the wrong way
the reason flashlight pisses me off is bc it's a pretty good manhwa and it has so much potential I enjoy it but then I also get bored and annoyed, the artstyle is sooo good but the way yujin is sexualised SO much reminds me of all those straight novels written by men where sexualizing a women is so normalised yujin doesn't look like a woman at all but he reminds me of a oversexualized woman SO MUCH like ik bls have this habit of giving the bottom the role of a woman when he's literally a man? But flashlight does it in such a way that no-one really notices and IT PISSES ME OFF ALSO Aaron he acts SO dominating it's like I'm seeing those straight smut novels where the guy is always a big strong guy w no flaws and who has never fallen in love and the moment he falls in love w the mc he gets possessive and obsessive, don't get me wrong I love possessiveness and all those crazy shits in fiction but there's A WAY to do it right in fiction and flashlight does it like following an instruction to make the perfect male lead, at first I thought that I didn't like flashlight bc it has too much unnecessary smut and sometimes when there's too much smut it gets boring BUT SO DOES RED STRING QUEST AND UNSLEEP AND I LOVE THEM it's just the way their characters are portrayed in such deep rooted homophobia and patriarchy that even if I didn't exactly knew what it was it rubbed me the wrong way but well I'm still gonna try to read it till the end bc it's good enough to read to kill time but yeah I have a bit of resentment towards it
