This take keeps being brought up making it seems like you guys read the novels which is obvios you didn’t because if your take is right , why are you not mentioning Grayson was the one who saved YW from from getting g-rape. Also how he was the one always on Keith business about him not admitting he liked YW. Then in KMIYC in the side stories goes looking for Josh when Chase is very sick . His character from the start was contradictory. Sometimes he did good things and sometimes he fk up . We never got his POV till know when we finally get him .
Here's the thing, i read the novels, very much including, ashley-koi, chase-joshua, ashley -dominic, greyson-dane and nathenial-chrissy. Just because i state that the author's way of continuing stories in their universe is quite contradictory from the previous works doesn't mean i haven't followed through the novels. I also think them writing characters that make readers hate in one series and following them through and portraying them as seemingly green flags though justifying their actions doesn't actually make readers to potentially enjoy the reading through the entire series.
Again , it’s not contradictory because since KMl we got a character that does both good and bad . Actions that don’t correlate with his words. Even I would say Zig was very smart to published DMIYC first than deflower me if you can because we stayed with Chases pov and not Bliss . Bliss loves Grayson . Series of standalones are very common in the romance genre , and it’s very common to get different feels of characters depending on the POVs . And one thing , the flag system is a very outdated way of categorize characters and it’s done by the readers themselves. Zig just wrote complex characters . You are the one saying “ he is portrayed like a green flag”.

As much as the individual stories/novels are good, the author kinda messed up writing the flow of characters in this series. As I hated greyson in kmiyc, in this one she tried to make him a green flag? The same kinda goes for ashley too
