Couldn't agree more! It feels a bit of a shame when an author/artist go to great lengths to create a "human" character with all their flaws and quantities and someone narrow them down to one impulsive action . Still I guess a lot of people here are very young and immature.
That's unfortunately the by product of the current climate, with the increasing amount of virtue signaling, and cancel culture. Things that were acceptable or at most considered weird in the past are now frown upon. Fiction is now scrutinized as though they are real life, and if you enjoy even a mildly problematic series, something must be wrong with you. It's honestly tiring to see everyone playing morality police, in a pirate site ironically and not seeing the hypocrisy of it. Critical thinking is endangered nowadays. Hive mind is everywhere.
Sometimes when I'm feeling stupid I read the comments on this site and instantly feel better. Yall want all the characters to be holier than thou jts not that deep yall they're fictional characters and if the author had kept a scene where they negotiate somno yall would have still jumped on her bc it's a weird kink yada yada just turn off your brains and enjoy the story
