I just read this for the first time, and I'm just gonna yap, dont mind me..
1111/10 Oh my god, dude!!!! This has been absolutely spectacular so far. I LOVE both Adam and Eve (hehe) and Eve makes me feel super maternal.. he's lethal, but he looks like a fucking angel. Adam is such a badas, and the art is just *chefs kiss,* like all works of this author.
The Esper/Guide dynamics in this story are explained super well and comprehensive. It might even be the most detailed explanation about the topic that I've ever seen in a Guideverse Manhwa before, so I bet this would be great for first-time-readers of the genre. I'm super interested in why Eve seems to have erased some of Adams memories and his OWN whole memories of Adam. Like bro, what happened?
From what we've seen in the dream (and I think it was a flashback of an actual event) that Eve had, it seems that Adam tried to commit suicide in the past while badly injured. (his leg) I can only assume that Adam got hurt inside the rift and after they got out of the gate and Eve probably defeated the boss, (Chp. 31) they had some kind of a falling out, and everything combined led to Adam attemtping to hang himself only for Eve to discover him in the act. Eve probably erased the last of Adams unbearable memories, feeling guilty (which is why Adam can still remember most of his interactions with Eve but nothing about what happened in the rift?) But that still doesn't explain, why Adam left everything and Eve behind after that. I can only assume Eve erased his own memories of Adam, to spare himself the pain of seperation and loneliness, but it led his mind-reading powers to shut down and his power becoming unstable af. I wonder if the imprint is still present? Because Eve still seems to be super attched to Adam, probably without knowing why.
It also surprises me, that the researchers just let Adam leave like that, considering that Eve imprinted on Adam, which they said is very rare..
I NEED TO KNOW MORE OF WHAT'S GOING ON, OMG. The suspense is so good. I usually have hard time with stories that are set in the present and slowly fill us in on what happened through flashbacks, leaving the reader in the unknown for a while, only to reveal everything piece by piece slowly, because it makes me feel stupid when I have the wrong theories, lmao xd But this is seriously so good. Glad I found it now, because it seems that the author had some publishing problems bcs of a stupid comapny or smt? Glad it seems to have been revolved and this wasn't left unfinished.. I dont think I could bear that
