I know Japanese work culture is intense but I still can't believe he didn't ask for the day off (since at the end of the chapter he considered that he should have) Why couldn't he pick it up closer to the weekend? Like he comes to town Friday night and brings back the equipment on Monday? Maybe they need it asap? Still I know the short meeting is for the plot I just think he could have taken advantage the trip more idk...
