Ehm, locking him up like that, is not the way to go. Both did something behind one's back. Both should just sit down in the livingroom or wherever you feel comfortable, and talk and listen to each other. Then decide what to do afterwards. And running away and assuming everything, making yourself go around in circles in your head, is not the way to do things either. Everyone lacks communication skills :/
