Otherwise, I'm not sure why she would be in hiding for what looks like 30+ years and suddenly pop up again. But maybe the ending is just written strangely and she really did just pop up ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

I've commented this previously but I can't help but think the ending is some sort of hallucination that he's having, and it's left open-ended in a way for the readers to interpret. If that's not it then I'm not sure, it was pretty confusing Σ( ￣□￣||)
