Amazing but...

I loved it, fun and interesting read. But the thing is, I feel Toto has no real development and the ending wasn't it for me. I get Toto being the dumb, naive fool with a peanut for a brain is the best partner for Ron. But surely I expected Toto to be able to deduce some things by himself instead of letting Ron do it. Toto's ability is saying something that seems minor, but is actually the important detail Ron needs for his deduction. I just wished that later in the story, especially the finally game Alice set up, it was Toto who gave more deductions that helped Ron solve the case.

And the M family... they definitely took a turn with that. Ending where they seem more comedic and nice even wasn't interesting to me and was a bit disappointing. Toto going missing bc he went back for Alice of all things, and instead of being stern, he reassures Alice of her mother's love for her. Definitely felt a bit rushed, but was still enjoyable
