Okay so I wasn't expecting much when I started reading cause action yuri is rare and not well written most times but this was actually good. Demi is hot and Jackie is hot and there is mystery. Btw Idk what people are going on about rape, are we even reading the same thing? I mean Jackie made a deal with Demi. That's the consent albeit not fully black and white but that's the point of the story, it's not all black and white. Jackie gets protection and Demi gets Jackie. If Demi wasn't there, Jackie wouldn't even be alive right now and besides we saw how Jackie also reminded Demi of the payment from time to time as well so it's not one sided attraction. Anyways, I've seen far more toxic fls than Demi and tbh, Demi is not even toxic, just caught up by the circumstances around her and the level to which she has helped Jackie is not something that can be ignored. She has literally put her life in danger more times than I remember
