Really rather annoyed

One thing (of many) that annoys me of Guideverse... （￣へ￣）

They make it as if they can't keep this as work partnerships ,
As if the Esper can't go out into the field, a literal war zone, with someone of higher compatibility and just hold hands or prolonged bro forearm clasp, or hugs , or one sits the other on floor and leans against the other's legs

Whatever else they can platonically do for more body skinship contact

And then you also have your Significant Other at home or if they live &/or work at base/headquarters too

●Similar to a Work Spouse and Actual SO
●Or a Sports Athlete and their Coach (plus the others in the team)
●Figure Skaters who do Pairs Competitions
●Ballroom dancing pairs
(And there's plenty of videos & pairs where they're both men)
●Idk, I'm sure there's other comparisons , but you get the gist

Like I want a story to explore that dynamic instead
To get creative with this
Try something new
Don't always resort to lust, sex, porn

Sometimes it feels like it cheapens the main pairings relationship & if they even genuinely care for each other, want to stay together and
Not it being forced or expected or (usually the guide) unable to leave or else the esper will get sick/die/deteriorate/etc.
