I’m not sure since I can’t read Korean but the both of them do enter a relationship so they’re doing everything the current present day couple is doing except it’s more loving. I’m not sure of the inevitable thing that will tear them apart. But damn. If anything, makes look at the story differently but maybe the ML is so rough with the MC because he needs a wake up call from bowing his head to the emperor who’s clearly fucking them over
