It’s like a horribly butchered and modernised version of the cool, quiet and mysterious archetypes found in gothic literature, now with a layer of “unbothered” that genuinely makes them more boring.
There are certainly ways to do it right, but the second a persona or archetype becomes a trend, it gets watered down and thinned out just to quickly rush a work into the scene…
idk what's so good abt the trend for nonchalant fls, where she's being humiliated, pushed around, talked down, etc. but she ignores it bc "its not worth her time", "other's opinions dont matter bc she'll showit in her ability whatsoeverc", "backing doen first bc it shows she's truly mature, doesnt care, and unbothered queen", etc.. like, what... go to ppl that offended u and bitch slap them so bad with metal ringed and/or sharp nailed fingers, then throw vile fucking words that violate their ears. save urself girl, showdominance, and put the offenders back to their places. bc the more other's are gonna talk bad abt u and ure not doing anything back, the more they're gonna think ure a pushover, and u accept it and not have any rebuttal since it's the "truth". save ur rep, dignity, and lose streak.
