Review: I picked up this manhwa because I was unsatisfied with my previous read, and I’m glad it delivered the revenge I was craving. The plot wasn’t unique, but I certainly enjoyed it despite some issues.
First, the development and pacing. Some scenes jumped from one to another or felt rushed. The storytelling could use some improvement, and readers really need to turn off their brains in certain parts, like when everything was so convenient for FL, or why the heck the murderer would leave ALL THE EVIDENCE IN ONE PLACE. It made no sense lol.
Second, ML’s initial reason for helping FL was weak. It felt forced, like it was only there to bring the two of them together.
Third, the art was inconsistent and sometimes stiff. Some scenes were drawn well, while others weren’t. But don’t worry, the leads mostly looked beautiful. The enemies got stuck with the ugly treatment lol.
Lastly, the characters. FL was constantly being saved by ML like a damsel in distress, even though she was supposedly rebranded as a capable and strong woman. As for ML, he was a green flag and devoted. I just didn’t like how his revenge started off strong, only for its development to turn out so meh. The side characters and enemies were fun to read, though, because they fit their roles so well.
Another good thing was the very, very satisfying revenge against their enemies. That’s why I rated it 7 instead of 6.5. Overall, this was an okay read to pass the time and a great pick for anyone craving a revenge story.
