iirc mc is actually a beta but due to prolonged exposure to the alpha bc they have like a really complicated relationship going on, he manifested as an omega and he didn't really find out about this until he got into heat unknowingly and spent it with the alpha. alpha asked to break up because he was so guilty of sleeping with an unknown omega (he was in a rut so he wasnt really conscious about it and mc wanted to hide that it was him from the alpha and erased all evidence bc he believes the alpha detests betas in a sexual? sense) season ends with mc running off and ml on a wife chasing arc
its really more of a lack of/miscommunication thing going on between them cus their love is very much reciprocated its just like complicated
I wish author didn't make mc omega bcuz it definitely looks like they only end together bcuz his traits change later, ml hates beta and later it kinda looks like ml choose him only bcuz he is omega

So If he hadn’t developed omega traits and hadn’t gone into heat—if he had remained a beta—would they not have slept together? So, we could assume that if botom remained a "beta," their relationship would never progress...
So... judging by the synopsis, the "top" is cruel and insults his long-time friend just because the friend is a beta and has feelings for him—and in the end, they get a "happy ending" together because it turns out the friend is actually an omega, right? So, they only end up together because he happens to be an omega, not because the "top" goes through a redemption arc or develops genuine feelings for him... wow, trash.
