Ok I read the novel and I kinda have a soft spot for him now..actually I loathe him in the early chap bc he was from a well known family, have a very loving mother. And imho why’d go such lengths to “I just wanted a love like others” when his mother clearly adores him… I feel like he is such an ungrateful brat. He could’ve won his father affection if he would stop being so oblivious and stupid abt liking men..
