Authors be cooking up hot ass

I'm not even gonna glaze over the stuff in this cause it's straight bullshit istg I'm here to complain the fuck out cause this GENUINELY could've been better

1. Avoidant x Persistent done in the WORST way possible. Author just HAD to give the professor the worst coping mechanism ever and even though the backstory is there, the way this was laid out feels really shallow and I honestly just feel bad for him after all that.

2. I genuinely usually love angst so much but the straight mess the author stirred up in this really made me feel icky rather than getting my gut wrenched from reading. They really said fucking is the medicine for any and every sort of pain. MC and ML almost JUST MET, they fucked. They resolved their problems, they fucked. I know that there could be some psychological explanation to the professor's actions but that could've been emphasized more if that really was the intent instead of just making him a wh0re for the sake of plot.

3. Genuinely a lotta parts seemed so unnecessary and they never even bothered to actually address the real issues,, like don't irritate me rn bro what the hell r y'all doing deadass. They somehow made a supposedly gutwrenching storyline with a backstory look gross and we never even got to know what the fuck happened to them after that. What's gonna go on with the mom? What happens to the professor's "night job"? How will their ass dynamic progress? Genuinely not a hint of thought about all that.

4. One of the worst cases I've seen of the "good art, horrendous story" syndrome cause I do fw the art style, it's just that the writing really compromised the potential of the progression of the story.

5. Just to clarify, I do understand that this is MEANT to be a short smut story but if that's the case, there genuinely was no point in adding the backstory and making the characters that way if it was never meant to have more. I'm convinced the authors just wanted to draw a pure horned out character and slapped on a tragic backstory and use it as some kinda excuse to actually give us a "plot".
