If this was me and I was trying look good to my crush and my childhood friend was making sly comments, they’d be shown the door. If you’re not gonna help me and hype me up to this person with me, I don’t want you around me. If you’re gonna make me look bad by association, gtfo. Not a single one of my friends would EVER be disrespectful of mine or any of our friends acquaintances or new friends or anything like that. Not out of respect for the new person. Out of respect for our friend. They chose to spend time with them and unless the friend is giving me “H E L P M E” eyes, I’m not gonna jeopardise their relationship with someone else. Heck, I could have a crush on a friend (and I’ve had one before) and I STILL wouldn’t do what that dumbass did cause it just makes ME look classless and if the new person complains to my friend, my friend is gonna yell at me for screwing things.
