can anyone pls tell me if sadistic beauty is worth reading? i wanted to read the side stor...

sadistic beauty is pretty good but if ur just looking for smth messed up read side story author got an insane hate boner for this 1 character and proceeds to whump him into oblivion (some of us like that though...)

Ok i haven't read this since 2023. don't expect me to remember everything right. I'm boutta write major spoilers btw!!! Also, I say go form ur own opinion. I don't think I'm the intended audience for sadistic beauty so i'm very critical of it

Maybe it's just me but i have a massive hate for Duna the mc. She's a femdom but like not a very good one. I take BDSM so seriously so I get so annoyed when they make femdoms psycho and all like eugh. and have no regard or care for their partner's safety or comfort in the moment. I can't explain it in words. Anyways so ofc she has multiple partners throughout the story. The first is Haneul. He's the roommate of her brother and he accidentally walks in on her having a shower and she kinda coerces him into sex. He's such a sweetheart and so wimpy it's adorable but I feel like duna takes advantage of him so much. He's so green and such househusband material and she doesn't see the goldmine in front of her.(she ends up w him at the end). the next is Gyarin (i think i messed up the spelling of her name) i forgot how they meet but she's a lesbian and she's into duna. their first few scenes, i loe them, gyarin my icon. now duna is sleeping with both her interests at this point. i hate this scene where she has haneul and gyarin both have sex at the same time, both of them are obviously uncomfortable but put up with it because mommy duna said so. ugh. and it leads to later on where gyarin decides on a break up (as she should. Her side story is the best where she's actually happy and has a loving gf. better than duna can ever do).

Now, we get to the drama part. Duna and Minho. They dated in college and we see a ton of envy in Minho's character. Minho wanted to be an author like Duna but never went through with his dreams so he becomes Duna's #1 critic out of jealousy. that becomes hella toxic so she leaves him and they reunite later in the story. I think Minho is supposed to be tragic character. We watch him degrade through the story, getting raped by wookyung (before side story B's timeline), losing his job, getting this writing gig just to plagerise another guy's work. All that and eventually he falls back to wookyung and side story B starts there. I dislike duna's scenes with him but from what I heard, Minho is based of the author's ex so that's why Duna has no empathy when she saves minho from being raped or when she humiliates him just because she can. i see people hate on her because of her lack of empathy (her insulting minho and telling him to hurry up and shit after wookyung assaulted him is the part I really hate ) but imo, she's already done so many things for Minho that aren't her responsibility. it's not like she's into him again, she's just a sadist

anyways, i still stand with my opinion that i hate Duna, love haneul. love gyarin, i like minho in his side story but i sympathise with him in the main story, fuck wookyung the rapist bastard. he deserved that degradation in the side story. and yh^^. have fun reading

U can defo skip the main story. the side stories hold up on their own. It's just if you want more background info, you can read the main story

i just skimmed through the chapters of Sadistic Beauty because i only wanted to see the backstory of the MC and ML. but now i might actually read the whole thing since i've been reminded of its existence and, well, i wanna see a dominant woman kekekekekeke
