I was really disappointed to hear that the artist's contract wasn't renewed and S2 is in a limbo :(((( Idk if the publisher would found this profitable enough to be renewed. It's such a shame This was a really great read!
While it wasn't anything spectacular or new, this was the few royalty BL that scratch the romantasy itch I'm craving for. I feel like when it comes to most royalty BLs, they tend to go too heavy on the tragedy or serious plot. Meanwhile shoujo romantasy has a lot of lighthearted options while still having the serious plot. I want such options on royalty BL too!!! So I'm really glad that this exist.
If there's anything I'm glad they changed from the novel on this manhwa adaptation, it's definitely Prince Khalid's skintone lol. While I understand that Kan Kingdom is a snow region, considering the arabic names, I appreciate more arabic influences in their outfits and etc. Also, he's definitely more attractive being tan
Also one of the few regression story that actually dealt with the trauma of past life and how it's not something you easily move past from. It can kinda pissed me off how easily regressed character just changed their personality and life after returning, as if the things that's holding them back in the past life was nothing after all. Renato, while does take steps in changing himself and his circumstances, does not miraculously change his personality in a day nor easily forget his past life's suffering.
Anyway, I really really hope it'll return one day. And that whoever the artist are for the S2 can adapt the novel's charm. For now, I'm just gonna enjoy the novel (since it also elaborates scenes a lot more than the manhwa did).
