This whole story has got me so angry... SPOILERS...

Let me start with Owen. I understand he has trauma and that he's fragile at heart, but I was expecting some sort of growth in his character. Throughout the story, he starts off closed off and scared, and at the end, becomes braver and willing to give up his heart. However, this willingness only stems from his desperation and codependency on Nick, and not true self growth. Or at the very least, his growth is so lukewarm I couldn't see it. I honestly wished that the author would have had Owen lash out at his cousin with his powers during the kidnapping, as a tool to showthat not only has Owen accepted himself and his "monstrous" power, but that he's no longer willing to let his cousin control him. However, this sort of revenge and growth ends up falling to Nick, who ultimately kills him. Owen is constantly being painted as fragile, as traumatized, and simply put... just an omega.

Also, Nick is not a green flag. That whole scene where he gets jealous and tries to overwhelm Owen with his pheremones gave me the ick. He gets better tho.
