I don't think it's about liking it. More like, the rape is so normalized, not just in literature but in society. Even in the story one of the main problem MC as a cop sees that especially many young women get raped and nothing gets done. He can only sometimes catch the poor criminals stealing stuff, but the actual crimes, especially ones done by people more well off stay unpunished.
I agree 100% it is a problem in most of the world, society as a whole has a serious problem w rape culture. Butttt i think kbl has a serious problem when it comes to mls raping the mc because they "want it" ans it is romanticized to such a crazy extent.
Im only on ch 23 so bare with me but oh my god genuinely why do kbl authors love rape so much one day the obviously better 2nd ml will be end game and ill cheer
