eh, im someone who's also like the MC. i just can't see myself being in any kind of relationship where i dont regularly meet up with the other person. and it's not like the MC didn't have friends, he quite literally said he got along with others. he just doesn't put too much of himself into it which is understandable
Tbh, him closing himself off from building relationships because he had to keep moving doesn't hit quite as hard in the age of smartphones.
It makes total sense our mcs didn't keep in touch with each other since they're rejector and rejected, but I feel like there could've been a mention of how he tried to keep up with friendships that just fizzled out or something, since that's an incredibly common thing that happens when you can't meet up as easily anymore
