This novel kinda reminded me of the Third Ending manhwa. Our Mc is in a similar circumstance and he was kinda rejected twice already (in hs, although not directly and now as an adult).
So as we can see now, Chiyoung began working as a driver. He is still in contact with Euigon and the other two. They became friends. Junyoung (Ml's previous crush) always requests Chiyoung to cook intestines for hime because he likes it so much. Kanghee (Junyoung's bf) finds it a bit annoying and he is a bit jealous but lets them do their thing. Euigon (Ml) is still a regular and the two have gotten closer. Euigion actually begins to view Chiyoung in a romantic manner during this time. He starts thinking of him more often, he even has wet dreams of him, and he gets jealous of others. He even wonders if Chiyoung still likes him. However, in the name of being a good friend, and realizing he already rejected and hurt Chiyoung, he tells him that if he ever likes another person, he'll help Chiyoung out. This hurt Chiyoung because he still likes Euigon so much but he kinda start wanting to move on.
Ok so I'm not sure if the same woman got Chiyoung in trouble twice or if it was two different women, but, Chiyoung has troubles at work due to a woman. And it happened twice (again not sure if it was the same woman). The first trouble, Chiyoung was set up and misunderstood. People kinda thought he was being inappropriate with one of the female clients and he was beat up. Then, he discovers that the bar owner aka his employer is Kanghee. Kanghee doesn't do shit. Just orders the guards that from now on Chiyoung wouldn't handle that client anymore. The second one, a woman got mad Chiyoung rejected her so she sexually assaults him.She gives him a hickey and bites his nipple hard so much that it had a wound. He felt awful. Again Kanghee doesn't do much, but Euigon does EVERYTHING. So, Euigon discovers this wound accidentally and he was so jealous that Chiyoung was scared for his life. He thought Euigon will hit him. Eugoj orders him to quit and he says he doesn't want to. He then questions why is Euigon being so concerned when they're not really that close and none of his work is Euigon's concern. Euigon kinda stops then storms out.
Chiyoung goes back to the bar and he meets Junyoung, who puts ointment in his wound because he did feel sorry for Chiyoung. Out of nowhere, Euigon kinda slams his hand on the car roof and states that Chiyoung will not be working there. He then says that He beat up Kanghee and then he proceeds to throw hands at Junyoung too. Chiyoung is confused and scared ofc. But he gets dragged by Euigon to his house, they get to the bed and Euigon tells him that he will fuck Chiyoung. Chiyoung will can either give his consent or not, but he will still sleep with him not matter his decision. Chiyoung was kinda scared but he gives his consent and theydo it for the first time.
When Chiyoung woke up, Euigon wasn't there because he had something to do. Chiyoung thought he was abandoned and also, his mom's birthday is that day so he reluctantly goes to his mom's to celebrate. Euigon finds Chiyoung gone and takes it as him running away from him because he was scared of what he did last night. He goes EVERYWHERE and finds out from Junyoung that Chiyoung just went home for a bit and will be returning. When he came back, Euigon was a mess. He discovers that Chiyoung wants to relocate his shop and is having money troubles. Euigon offers him money. Chiyoung takes it as being paid for sex and he is offended. He declines the money. Euigon panics and says that its for the shop but Chiyoung still declines. They go back and fourth until kinda deciding to date and doing the deed again. Afterwards, Chiyoung is sick for like 4 days.
So they are together now, but when Junyoung asks them if they're in a serious relationship together, Chiyoung says no while Euigon says hell yeah. They kinda fight over it. Chiyoung doesn't relly feel like they're lovers because they only spend time together in the weekend. On weekdays, they behave like they usually do. They don't even hold hands. Euigon was on the assumption that they'll be together from now on and didn't really want to ruin things the way he did before so he is following Chiyoung's pace. They resolve it and said they'll be together for 50 - 60 years.
Chiyoung's friend now has a kid and he kinda thought that it was a waste that he won't be seeing Euigon's kid because they can't have a baby. Euigon told him he also felt the same way because he would love to see Chiyoung's kid. But they resolve that it's fine because they love wach other and they're together.
After some other filler episodes, Euigon invited Chiyong to move in with him twice and Chiyoung rejected him twice. He was so mad, disappointed, and sad that he avoided Chiyoung for days. Even when Chiyoung called, he kept it short. He questioned if Chiyoung found him unreliable or unworthy. He was renovating his home and found out that one of the cats Chiyoung was looking out for died. He decided to bury it and tell him later but Chiyoung went to him and found out. Surprisingly, he wasn't sad but instead felt accepting of the situation. They talk about moving in together again and Chiyoung explained that he just wanted to savor the moments of being lovers while also being independent. He wants to feel these moments when they are apart and the happiness because he knows they'll always meet again whenever. He says that he does want to live together but not now, and that it may take years before he would want to move in. Euigon understood this and accepted. Chiyoung teases him that what if they were already in their 50's by then, Euigon says he will wait (≧∀≦)
