I think adam became blind because he overused the inducers and got boom hit with the sideeffects. I remember faintly that Eve helped him and then got rid of his own memories IIRC

in chapter 27, present eve has a nightmare where adam has hung himself. past eve found him and i believe he manipulated that scene out of his memory because he couldn't bare to see/remember adam in that state. there was also lian(the orange haired girl that brought adam back to eve) telling someone to put *him* in isolation which i theorize the *him* to be eve because he was prob spiraling from seeing adam lifeless. in the beginning, lian also said that eve is able to manipulate his own memory and did so before the scientists could stop him hence why he has no memory of adam. but then again this is my own thoughts
