The story so far for anyone who doesn't remember

In the beginning of the series, all the Espers are no longer needed for war. They are going rehabilitate and integrate with human society.

All of the Espers, except for Michael/Eve/"Father" have been placed with Guides for integrating into society and learning emotions and becoming "human". Michael was going to be destroyed if he wasn't placed with anyone, so Adam, feeling guilty, decided to take Eve in. At this point, Eve erased his own memories and is very docile.

Eve is his new registered name. To the public he is Esper Michael. To the other Espers, he is father. He is the first Esper to be created from "angels" who were destroying earth, but he was highly unstable and the only level SS Esper

Adam is guide level B. Not strong enough for guiding with eve. Because of this, and an incendent at a bank where Eve destroyed the entire building and killed the bank robbers,Adam took Eve to the facility to get medical guiding which liquifies his organs and hurts him a lot. Eve learned "fear". Adam hired a level S guide who was a major asshole to Eve and hit him. Adam beat the shit out of the guide and got arrested. Eve is codependent on Adam and didn't take this lightly. He stopped eating and sleeping and threatened violence if he didn't get Adam back.

We meet Isaiah and esper Gabriel. Isaiah is Adams ex BF and because of their closeness, Eve first learned "envy/jealousy". Isaiah is the son of scientist dr. Snake, who created Michael. And together they released footage of what happens to Espers and guides in the Gates, which are portals were they fight the angels.

Adam and Eve are reunited but there's a lot of strange things happening. After the ban robbing, eve didn't want to guide with Adam bc of the side effects of the guide enhancers. They made Adams heart rate unstable. And he questions if he had new eyes or lost his vision previously.

Also Isaiah and Gabriel both have two different eye colors that match what the other is missing. Interesting detail imo.

In chapter 27, we don't know why yet, but Adam who is in hospital clothing, kills himself. It's implied eve brought him back to life.

In chapter 28, we officially see all the memories that eve erased from his "first tantrum". Eve has so many powers, that he doesn't even know half of them. All of the Espers have one power that eve would or can possess. I.e. mind reading, or fire.
After eve erased his own memories, it's said/implied he forgot what powers he had.

Also a noted for chapter 33: the angel in the gate name is Lilith but we know there's an esper with the same name in the present
