RIGHT?! I'm so glad someone else noticed. Being in your early thirties isn't even middle-aged, which begins in the forties. I get that FML herself is a little flabbergasted that someone 10 years younger than her is interested in her, but the way this manhwa puts so much emphasis on how young people are, and how old FML is downright creepy, I can't lie. Though I have to admit that the last line was quite satisfying, considering that the antagonist's current girlfriend thinks age is a huge facotr in dating someone.

Actually, when people are jealous, just a 2 year gap becomes INSANE. I was dating a guy 2 years older than me and everyone was calling me a slut. Cant even imagine how jealous people would react to seeing a 30 year old women when being 4 years younger. Its the only way they can bring down older women. Make them feel insecure about something they cant control. These women who date older men who had relationships realize very early on that they arent able to compete with the older women the man dated/married. Why? Because of experience. Older people understand older people of the same age. When your younger, need that explained to you. Its shown in this story Actually. She asks questions non stop because everything is new to her, and he gets annoyed. Meanwhile, Na-sue would have known everything and understood without questions needed.

But yeah, that age gap is crazy important in messy relationships like this.

totally and i am sure it's related to the specifics of the korean culture (which i do not agree with), but the way they are dehumanizing her just because she is like 7 years older than them or whatever is crazy !!!!! life barely starts at 30 and every time i read this manhwa i am being made to believe she is some sort of predator like when the male lead calls her auntie, mind you he is 23 and thats ALMOST a fully developed frontal lobe. like bro calm down why is the focus on her age to begin with !!! it's not even that crazy of an age gap !!!!!!!

girl first of all im so sorry that happened to you and i really do get where you are coming from. it's the societal rules that are made to control women and make them feel like they are less worthy than they are by letting them compete with each other because of dumb things like age. and i do get how in the past a woman in her 30s looked significantly older than a woman in her 20s because of work, war and so on (of course depending on her status), but now the difference in appearance ain't that crazy ! and in this manhwa specifically na haesu doesn't look her age and is shown to look much younger which doubles down on how crazy it is to mention her age EVERY SINGLE TIME like it ain't that serious. i am sure that's a huge thing in many cultures though so i understand but i don't agree with it in the slightest ! let women be baddies at whatever age bruh
